Why Superfoods ?

Hey gang , Thanks for keeping up with me ! Some have asked why did i start a whole new blog . Well since having a few health issues i decided to share my health journey . You are probably wondering what is Superfoods? They are your healthy fats that are packed with nutrients and really beneficial to your health . Once again i am not on a specific diet . Currently i am working on keeping my weight and getting more toned , I want to not only feel good inside but also physicially and look healthy . BUT , since i do have hormonal imbalance many carbs does get me sick and while im trying to get toned i need the carbs ! ugh , kinda complicated so now i just lower how much carbs i eat. . I have so many i love especially Matcha ! Growing up i've always had anything Matcha i've just been so obsessed before it became so popular . One thing i didn't know is how beneficial it is to your body . Some stuff is really hard to get use too so pairing it with fruits in a smoothie helps so much especially if it is your first time . I also recommend to try a little first. Here are the few Superfoods i use everyday or weekly and their benefits !

1. Matcha

It is the finest ground of a green tea leaf and this is rich in antioxidants , enhances metabolism, improves immune system function and gives energy .

( Usually , i will make a matcha latte and drink in replace of a coffee)

2. Cacao

Healthier than cocoa powder ! ( It is the purest form of chocolate extracted from the cacao bean , unlike Hershey's cocoa powder because it is so processed , with added sugar, oil, or milk fat.)

Rich in antioxidants , high in fiber , iron and magnesium , maintains muscle and nerve function .naturally sugar free , enhances mood ,great source of healthy fats and cholesterol-free .

( I use cacao powder and/or "nibs" in my smoothies , yogurt bowls , breakfast )

3. Seeds ( Flax , Hemp , Chia , Sesame , Sunflower , Pumpkin)

Rich in omega-3 fatty acids , Helps with healthy skin and hair ,

(Hemp seeds is considered a "perfect protein" because , it naturally contains all 9 essential amino acids our body cant produce also good for digestion )

( add in smoothies , yogurts or even on toast ! )

4. Maca Powder

High in antioxidants, improves energy , boosts mood/memory , *balancing hormones , increases libido

( can be added to smoothies)

5. Tumeric

Anti-inflammatory , rich in antixidants , supports healthy skin .

( Make a latte with it , tastes so good )

6. Goji Berries

Boost the immune system and brain activity, protect against heart disease and cancer, and improve life expectancy.

ontain vitamin C, vitamin B2, vitamin A, iron, selenium and other antioxidants

( Great as a topping )
